WHY AVFS IS UNIQUE
What could be better than the advantage of having your veterinarian provide routine farrier care to your horse? Dr. Eitelman is able to perform routine and emergency medical services when the needs arise. Having this established relationship will ensure more customized and timely care and likely even save you time and money!
are we the right fit for you?
All horses must be trained to have their feet worked on. If your horse has behavior issues as it pertains to hoof care, then you or someone capable needs to train them. Unfortunately, the best way to guarantee poor options for your horse’s hoof care is to have a poorly mannered horse. We do not sedate horses to do their feet.
If you or your farrier finds that your horse is being difficult simply because they are sore, we are more than happy to treat and manage those issues short and long term alongside your farrier to allow them to do their best work!
All horses must stay on an appropriate farrier cycle (rather than wait until they’re too long and then you call) and as a result have the best, strongest and healthiest feet possible! Additionally, most of our horses are done without clients even having to be there. We love it when the clients can be there, but farrier work is rather boring and we’d much rather you use your free time to play with your horses!
Bottom line: Dr. Brian has 20 years of expertise with hoof care and the highest level of farrier certification. We work on well-behaved horses, whether you have 2 or 20 and whether in your driveway or heated/air-conditioned barn. We do excellent work whether you are there or not, and you can rest assured that your horses have the best feet possible!
